As we count down the days until the start of the school year, we're excited to share some news with you about leadership changes. Kara Merrill will be joining the Dakota leadership team as the new assistant principal! Kara previously served as the Community Schools Site Facilitator at Franklin Elementary, a Success Coach at Gage Elementary, and a classroom teacher at Riverside Elementary School. Kara assisted as a substitute administrator on a short-term basis at a variety of schools over the past school year, including Dakota Middle School.
Assistant Principal Dana DeWitz has accepted the Principal position at Jefferson Elementary and we wish her the best!
We are confident that Kara will be a great addition to our staff and welcome her enthusiastically to Dakota Middle School!
